FNAC Darty Acquisition of Nature & Decouvertes

Analysis Group was retained by FNAC Darty, a French online retailer of consumer electronic products, and Nature & Decouvertes, a French book and toy retailer, to assess the economic impact of FNAC Darty’s acquisition of Nature & Decouvertes.

An Analysis Group team led by Managing Principal Antoine Chapsal, Principals Emmanuel Frot and Jimmy Royer, and Manager Lucien Frys provided an economic analysis of the feasibility of the deal, including an assessment of potential competition issues. Analysis Group also supported FNAC Darty through an investigation by the French Competition Authority (FCA) by evaluating the competitive effects of the merger. The acquisition closed after FNAC Darty obtained unconditional clearance from the FCA.
