Lactalis Group Acquisition of Nuova Castelli

Analysis Group worked with international dairy product manufacturer Lactalis Group in its acquisition of specialty cheese producer and distributor Nuova Castelli. A team led by Managing Principal Antoine Chapsal and Principal Emmanuel Frot provided economic analysis to assess the competitive effects of the acquisition. The assessment required the analysis of dozens of markets and their competitive dynamics. The acquisition was cleared without commitments after a pull-and-refile to overcome the arguments put forward by a complainant.
