California State Auditor Investigation/Orange County Bankruptcy

In several assignments involving the Orange County investment debacle, Analysis Group served as the expert to the California State Auditor, Kurt Sjoberg, in his investigation of the failure of the Orange County portfolio. For this project, we analyzed the suitability of the investments in the portfolio and conducted a comprehensive risk audit of the portfolio. We were subsequently hired to investigate the investment practices of eight additional California counties, concluding that all eight engaged in one or more strategies that subjected public funds to risk inconsistent with their investment policy.
