Summary of Experience
Professor Grinblatt's past research, which appeared in most major finance and economics journals, focused on asset pricing, rational expectations equilibria, performance evaluation, stock market anomalies, corporate finance, derivatives valuation, and agency theory. His most recent research explores the consumption function, tax policies and the weighted average cost of capital, and behavioral finance. He has authored a corporate finance textbook and approximately 40 papers on finance and economics, one of which received a Smith Breeden 2001 distinguished paper award. Professor Grinblatt served as a visiting professor at the Wharton School from 1987-1989 and a visiting fellow at Yale University in 1999-2000, and worked as a vice president for Salomon Brothers, Inc. from 1989-1990. He currently serves as a research associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research, an associate editor of four journals, and as president-elect and program chairman of the Western Finance Association.
