Sharon M. Oster

We are deeply saddened that Sharon Oster, a pathbreaking female economist and a great friend to Analysis Group, passed away on June 10, 2022, after a long battle with cancer.

Professor Oster was a renowned educator at Yale University, where she spent the bulk of her career and left a lasting legacy. She was the Yale School of Management’s first female tenured professor and its first female dean. At her death, she held the title of Frederic D. Wolfe Professor Emerita of Management and Entrepreneurship. She was also a deeply experienced expert witness who testified in dozens of antitrust and intellectual property cases.

Above all, Professor Oster was a brilliant, generous, and kind person who touched the personal and professional lives of many at Analysis Group.
