Summary of Experience
Dr. Derpanopoulos focuses on the application of economic theory and econometric and quantitative methods to antitrust, securities, and intellectual property litigation and government investigations. Examples of his case work include evaluating class certification issues and quantifying damages resulting from alleged collusion in rate setting for municipal debt instruments, collusive behavior between drug manufacturers and pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs), price-fixing of electrolytic capacitors, monopsonization of acute care services, copyright infringement of photographs on consumer packaged goods, and mismanagement of algorithmic executions of securities orders. He has also submitted expert declarations, testified in an arbitration hearing, and consulted on a Copyright Royalty Board proceeding setting royalty rates for musical works on streaming services. Dr. Derpanopoulos has managed engagements and consulted to clients involved in all phases of litigation – from pre-complaint to post-trial – across a broad range of industries. His articles have been published in a variety of legal publications. Prior to joining Analysis Group, Dr. Derpanopoulos provided economic consulting services at a global business advisory firm.
