Analysis Group Consultants Present on Offshore Wind Procurement at EBA Conference

Managing Principal Judy Chang and Vice President Megan Accordino provided an overview of East Coast offshore wind projects in their presentation “Offshore Wind Procurement,” which they prepared for the Energy Bar Association’s (EBA’s) 2024 Western Chapter Annual Meeting. They began by discussing the development status of current projects, as well as common litigation challenges and variations in procurement methods. Ms. Chang and Dr. Accordino also explored qualitative considerations and changing transmission requirements in offshore wind procurement. They closed their presentation by surveying lessons learned from East Coast projects, along with a reminder that Western states have an opportunity to incorporate these takeaways in their own procurement processes.
