Analysis Group Summer Program in Top 10 of Vault’s Best Consulting Internships

November 8, 2024

Analysis Group is honored to have its summer intern program ranked fifth in Vault’s listing of best consulting internships. The firm was also the top-ranked economic consulting firm for data analytics internships and compensation and benefits, and ranked in the top 10 across all industries in both categories.

The rankings are based on a survey of former interns who participated in the firm’s 2024 summer program. Vault gathered perspectives on factors such as quality of life (including company culture and work-life balance), career development, full-time employment prospects, and workplace diversity.

Analysis Group summer interns actively engage in case team work from the start, gaining hands-on experience that mirrors the actual roles of full-time analysts and associates. Interns take on responsibilities that include conducting market and company research, analyzing data for case needs, and working directly with academic experts and case team members. They also use coding software such as SAS and R to solve complex problems. Beyond the work, the firm hosts a range of social events and activities so interns can build strong connections with each other and with the firm’s professionals, fostering a strong sense of community and belonging.

The following comments were provided in support of Analysis Group’s rankings:

  • “Culture is probably AG’s strongest selling point. Impressive colleagues that are as kind as they are smart.”
  • “Interns and full-time employees are assigned a mentor and an advisor, all of whom make a real effort in making sure your transition into work is as smooth as possible.”
  • “Interns are given a lot of responsibility, which is not only desirable for me but also leads to plenty of other good outcomes. It accelerates learning [and] integration into one’s case team and improves overall experience.”
  • “The firm puts a great amount of effort into making sure you are knowledgeable about multiple coding languages, including R, Stata, Python, and more. This includes training videos and live in-person training labs. The firm also invites interns to freely chat with senior staff and set up coffee chats to learn more about their experiences.”
  • “Most interns are encouraged to seek full-time roles, and we are told it is not a competition between interns.”
  • “The intern cohort in my office is very diverse in terms of gender and race.”

These comments emphasize Analysis Group’s commitment to offering interns direct case work experience, and reflect the firm's culture of collaboration, mentorship, trust, and respect.
