Summary of Experience
Ms. Messina specializes in the application of economic and financial theory to questions arising in complex securities and finance litigation, corporate governance issues, environment-related litigation and arbitration, and general commercial litigation matters. Her finance litigation and consulting experience includes analyses of private and public companies’ financial data and valuations, mortgage securitizations and loan products, REITs, municipal bonds, and asset tracing. In the area of corporate governance, she has conducted research related to disclosure standards and practices for public offerings and acquisitions, as well as provisions in companies’ certificates of incorporation and bylaws. Ms. Messina’s environment-related cases have involved analyses of coal-fired power plants, vehicle emissions, and Superfund sites. She has supported industry and academic experts in their preparation of reports and testimony in various matters, including cases related to controlling shareholders, alleged material adverse effects (MAEs), regulatory takings, and the 2008 financial crisis. Prior to joining Analysis Group, Ms. Messina was manager of financial analysis at The Metropolitan Opera.
